Dear Parents,

Sequoia Middle School is in the process to reconvene the 2020-2021 English Learner Advisory Committee. The English Learner Advisory Committee is a committee required by state regulations for any school that has 21 or more English learners.

In addition, state regulations require that parents of English learners constitute at least the same percentage of the English Learner Advisory Committee members as their children represent the student body. Members of the English Learner Advisory Committee give advice and feedback to the principal regarding English learner programs.

Sequoia Middle School will hold its first English Learner Advisory Committee meeting on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at 9:00 am.
