Brooke was born and raised in Bakersfield and attended BCSD schools from Kindergarten through 8th grade. She obtained her Bachelor's in Political Science, Teaching Credential, and a Master's in School Counseling from California State University Bakersfield and is currently working on her Ed.D in Educational Leadership. Brooke has taught abroad, worked as a classroom teacher in both jr. high and high school settings, spent time as an interventionist, and currently works as a school counselor in East Bakersfield. She is also a proud parent of a BCSD student and strives for all students to receive a high quality public education that prepares them for their future endeavors, just as BCSD was able to do for her.
